In the CRE industry, building strong relationships with your clients is crucial to success. One of the most important ways to keep those relationships strong is by helping your clients renew their leases. That's why we've put together some tips on how to maintain those relationships and ensure that your clients stay with you for the long haul.
1. Regular communication is key to maintaining strong relationships with your clients. On the Leases Page under the My Data tab, you can make notes of any calls, emails, etc. on individual clients with existing leases and create follow-up dates to touch base.
2. Once that lead is entered into your Prospects section, you can add files and notes, and share all that data with your team members. All of this information can be added from the Offer incentives to renew: Everyone loves a good deal, so consider offering your clients incentives to renew their leases with you. This could include reduced fees, free services, or other perks that would make renewing with you an easy decision.
3. When it comes time for your clients to consider renewing their leases, make sure they understand the benefits of staying put. Highlight the advantages of their current location, such as accessibility, convenience, and established relationships with other tenants or nearby businesses.
4. Stay on top of lease expiration dates! This is the easiest way to make sure you don't miss out on "free money". Don't wait until the last minute to start talking about lease renewals. Start discussing renewal options several months in advance. Remember, you can set up your calendar to get reminders for those renewal notice dates, and lease expiration dates.
